Reshma Kumari of Gomia brought laurels to Jharkhand by winning gold medal in lawn ball in National Games held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand this year.
In the selection trials organised for Indian team by Bowling Federation of India at DPS RK Puram Stadium in Delhi which were going on from 28th August to 30th August, Reshma Kumari of Bokaro district of Jharkhand secured her place in Indian team, now she will participate in competitions and will go to Hong Kong Classic International.
Reshma Kumari will participate in an international competition for the first time.
Today, Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Mr Ajay Nath Jha called her to his residence and encouraged her. He appreciated her and assured her of all possible help and assured her to solve the water problem in her house and to get her Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana as soon as possible.
Reshma Kumari told the Deputy Commissioner about her primary training at Bhatia Athletics Academy Trust and Chief Patron of the Academy Mr. Prashant Arora who has been helping her for the last one and a half years and has always stood by her like an elder brother.
Reshma Kumari is currently training under the guidance of Dr. Madhukant Pathak at Ranchi RK Anand Lawn Ball Stadium.
On this occasion, Chief Trainer of Center of Excellence Chandankyari Bokaro Mr. Ashu Bhatia and President of Bokaro District Olympic Association Mr. Vipin Singh were present.
Reshma Kumari is a student of Gomia Degree College. Her father Suresh Nonia is a tempo driver।
Reshma’s success proved that success can be achieved not by wealth but by hard work and dedication.
